Yes, I can get AMS.

I was hoping to put down some AMS + DAP preplant 2x2. Should I broadcast AMS instead and just rely on DAP for 2x2 nitrogen? Or DAP plus some urea?

This is what I do.

Broadcast urea and some AMS, and a little K on the ground I have locked for a long time.

then

Dap and K with Zinc as starter.

then come back and topdress urea and AMS.

I can topdress later cheaper than buying ESN and putting it on up front. AMS is gonna be very mobile in the soil. Also, when you topdress it you dont have to worry about it volatilizing like urea. Treat your topdress urea with agrotain.
