Near-north Ontario, French River | Had a 98 Chev that would clunk so bad it would make a guy half expect to see the tranny laying on the ground if he looked in the mirror. It did it from day one until I scrapped the truck in 2010 for a new Chev. Never had any issues beyond the clunk sound. As others have said it will do that if the drive line is in a bind when you try to disengage the 4x4. FWIW the 2010 doesn't make a sound ,either engaging or disengaging. |
