Southern Alberta Canada | Exactly, the transmission is a sealed unit, I've only ever seen the oil darken very slightly over time from very well used transmissions, there are no contaminants being introduced into it and the oil doesn't break down if it's not overheated, same with the differentials. Even OEMs are discontinuing the use of dipsticks they are so confident. The engine oil needs to be renewed because of the environment it's in. | |
