| If you are kinda techie and have a good internet connection, get a G-Box or other micro computer that can attach to your TV. Think of it like an open source Roku, with all the benefits (official apps like Netflix, Hulu, Crackle ect) of a Roku plus a browser so you can watch content from websites/players (like Bloomberg, news channels , Discovery's player, History, ect..) that don't distribute to Roku. Basically it is a smaller version of just hooking your computer up to your TV via an HDMI cable. There is a lot of free streaming and VOD content out there if you take the time to search for it.
Down side to all of this (Roku, Gbox, ect...) is you can't just turn it on and channel surf, you have to be the programming director. Cutting the cable is not for everyone and there is a learning curve to it.
