well you have lost me---------you have individual stocks or stock in a mutual fund?? If these aren't set up as a retirement instrument then yes you will pay taxes on the dividends they produce. This arena can get real tricky depending on how the account is set up. I have one account that I can't remember what its called that is taxed going in ----supposed to be tax free coming out. that is in addition to my 401 account that is pretax. If you don't have a 401 or any other tax shelter you might consult your accountant as well as your broker and see what can be done for next year lol---------I am guessing mine won't have any tax issues the way the market was | |
