20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
Brad, I late season top dressed urea on 6499 and 6472 this year. Corn was not stressed at all and neither farm showed any wet spots of leached N. This was a 100% speculative move to try and keep a great growing season going. I had a 1/2" of rain the same evening it was spread. Didn't see any gain from it, but yields were still the best we had shelled on some farms.

In 2013 I had some urea flown on to AG6478 IIRC. I think it showed a 15 bushel increase. ( have to check my notes). Also got lucky and had a 1" rain the next day.

I'll look into it again for 2015, but it'll have to be a favorable condition again to do so.
