S.C. Wisconsin
I don't know if this will address the problem of municipalities wanting to form their own fiber optics internet service to their residents because of the absence of fiber optics. The big boys like AT&T ,Verison and other 's providing broadband for the area suing the municipalities because they know they would lose most of their customer base in that area. I read some stories on this but can't recall from where. I know we went from broadband to fiber optic's and sure don't miss the broadband. But that's what we have here where we are wintering. It works fair but you burn through your GB's and then get outrageous overage charges. Our fiber optic service has 56 bps without any limits for less money than the broadband from Verison.
