West Texas | There's a product that we use once a month in an empty dishwasher. You take the cap off the bottle, leaving the wax plug intact, turn it upside down and place in an appropriate location in the bottom rack, and cycle the dishwasher using the hottest water available. Afterwards, the dishwasher will be squeaky clean. It removes hard water stains, also.
Can't recall the name, but you can find it near the rinse aid products in the store.
