Got it, i think they will work with chain drive. I've seen few 1780 with air bags and chain drives on tractor house back when i was looking at spilt row planters, so i'm 99% sure they will work with chain drive. Not sure if they will work with our planters that were setup for spring down pressure? Shucks i walked back in the corner of shed to look at planter today and i forgot to look if they have holes that the air bag looks to bolt too.
