Texas/New Mexico Stateline
We are sitting pretty for a change. Best January moisture since......I honestly don't remember the last time we were wet at the end of January. See that big blue spot in East New Mexico on the 90 day map? We're pretty close to that. Big snow Jan 2, a little more snow 6" or so last week. WET on top. 70-80% chance tomorrow of snow/rain.

Today I was going to try and cross a shallow ditch with the empty semi, hmm, looks pretty dry, nope. Had to get the tractor to finish crossing the ditch.

With wheat prices dropping, starting to hear lots of four legged harvesters revving up. Stockers are all about margin, and there is still margin for growing calves on wheat. Bird in the hand, or two in the bush waiting until June to harvest??? A lot of swathers will be flying in April.

Personally, I want to save most of ours for grain. Unless somebody will offer $.75 per # on the gain for graze-out.
