Subject: Wheat Acreage is Lower and Shifted to the Plains this year..


LAST Year.. Oklahoma Averaged 17 bu wheat.. and Kansas did 28.. (If I got the latest update..)

   level estimates will be published in the "Small Grains 2014 Summary."       

USDA says that Wheat Acreage will be down this year..95% of last year's planted acreage.  Kansas is at 98%.. Oklahoma is at 96%      While some of the cornbelt states are significantly lower.. Illinois and Mizzou are both at 74%.. so more of the Wheat crop will be grown in the High Plains lower yielding area.. this year.
