Subject: RE: fair cash rent for tomatoes?

Southwest michigan Berrien county
Fresh market veg ground is getting over 500 in most cases. With cover crop being planting after crop. It's like everything else. It followed the corn market up but has not came down with it. Most guys here where spending around 400 just to fumigate the dirt on their own farm. Now most of us just rent new dirt from corn guys and don't fumigate anymore.
Fresh market crops here usually are planted on plastic mulch with drip tape. And tomatoes are staked. ===lots of trips across a field with equipment and walking.
