| If the boundaries are recorded with a 2600/2630 you have to record them under different field names and then go in and edit the boundary. The displays will only accept one exterior boundary per field and that is why when you put them back into the display it creates the "bridge" between the two. In Apex you will need to copy/paste the boundaries together in the edit screen of the boundaries themselves. I have done this many times and it works fine. After you copy/paste them together they will look like the picture from bmatteson and like stated before when put back into the display there will be a tiny "bridge" connecting the two exterior boundaries.
