We put our corn in right from the field without cleaning or drying to air dry and we never have any problem with the bottom it way dry and the top will heat and mold.
We run the fan for a week if the weather is good then keep an eye on the corn and run it on a cold day and night to cool the top but it seems that we can never keep the top good but the bottom
is around 10 to 12 % and perfect.
