I would think that is the ballpark. There was a whole lot of talk about huge yields earlier when everybody was running in the hill ground because it was muddy, it seems that nobody was saying much when they moved to farms that weren't so well drained. Very respectable for Van Buren County indeed, just not quite off the charts phenomenal. I can tell you we have some creek bottom ground in VB Co. that didn't make 150, just too much water stood on it. Of course, the sandy hill in the back side of it was 220 bpa corn and didn't even put ears on in the 2012 drought. |
