If corn acres fall won't a "slightly below trend yield" be higher than 155? If corn acres fall to your projected levels, I wouldn't be surprised to see the trend near 170.
Trend from 2006 to 2008 was around 150. Hybrids have NOT improved all that much in that time. I planted a hybrid that this was it's last year this year and has been around for 7-8 years. It was on every farm. It was consistent and actually beat newer hybrids on each farm. It's more about the weather to me. |
