Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but if there's a column that holds the field name, and you want to sum up all the data in rows for that field, you'd do something like:
=SUMIF(D$3:D$29,"=Field1",$B$3:$B$29)
Where column D has the field name and column B has the data you want to add up, There's an averageif function too for things you want to average.
