waaaay east central Colorado | So I'm finally getting around to doing some post-harvest paperwork. I've never really messed with excel much, but I understand basic programming. I'm having trouble with getting the "words" right in the language if that makes any sense... So what I've got going on, is I just entered grain cart weight tickets that contain the "Field Name", "Load Destination", "Weight", and "Moisture". The tickets were not kept in any kind of order, so the data entry is all helter-skelter, ie, the field names bounce around from field 1 to field 3, then back to field 1 for several loads etc. So what I need to do is create a formula that will sort the rows by field name, and then sum the weights and average the moistures, then apply the appropriate formula to that. The sort by field name thing is really the hang-up for me. What would be the preferred way to do that? As always, thanks in advance! |
