| Never took the time to open the link and read his comments. But its pretty obvious he took the easy road when he was at the helm. His policies were a lot easier to stomach than Paul Voelkers policies were. But wow, were Voelkers policies ever effective at achieving the desired effect in a very short time frame. Kicking the proverbial can down the road wasn't in Paul's plan. Pretty amazing how high interest rates force a person to more live within their means, and reign in reckless spending. Voelker was the antithesis of a chicken----. In hindsight, as painful as it was, his policy should have been extended for a much longer period of time, as we as a country would be far better off as the temptation to spend money like drunken sailors would have been greatly curtailed. Its amazing how someone who lives within their means never has financial difficulties. Our children and grand children would have been far better off if our parents generation wouldn't have taken the easy way out. Disgraceful. | |
