King City, Mo
I planted a plot and left one of the r1 numbers untreated. It won the plot.

Next plot it was in the middle of the pack.

I try and wait till the soil is warm to plant beans and am working on my soil health. Trying to spend money on long term fixes and moving away from bandaids that cost ever year.

If you plant when it's cold or turns off cool and wet then treatment probably would pay.

Next year all my bean seed is gonna be untreated. I'm dropping the innoculant even as my beans all tested excessively high for N at full flower. Excessive amounts of a nutrient can screw stuff up just like a defiency.
