Alton, Ia
Farms With CASE - 10/26/2014 05:58

Been repeatedly told the 940/9040's are underpowered so shoot for the larger ones.

That comment makes my eyes roll automatically. I have a 920, same exact thing as a 940, same engine, rotors, frame etc. except the 940 has an electronic governor, so they squeezed out 40 more HP. The 920 was supposedly "too small". It's bigger than a CIH 2366, or a JD 9560, and there are a hell of a lot of those making money for farmers, so why is the 920 "too small"?

I fully believe the 920 is an adequate combine for a 1500+ acre of corn/SB farm.

A lot of people aren't going to be happy until there's a 2000 HP jet engine mounted back there.
