John same here, we have copper and battery thefts daily but the sheriffs and sheriffs deputy are too busy investigating "real" crime. We have twice as many deputies compared to 20 years ago...and I don't see the presence of the office as I did then..
We were just talking about this a while back
Our town about 1970 just over 2,000 pop , 1 full time, 3 part time cops
today - pop. 2800, 11 full time , ?? part time.
No wonder they are ALWAYS needing more taxes. |
