Subject: MX or 8000 series

Freedom, WI
I've been keeping my eyes peeled for either one but was wondering which one you preferred. For Magnums, I was thinking a Generation 2 or 3 Magnum. And then how does a '98 John Deere 8300 with 5000 hours compare with an '05 MX245 with the same # of hours? How different are they in terms of reliability, comfort, and fuel usage? I know either one would adequately replace our 4440 for chopping and tillage. We are looking for a tractor for the long run and don't want one with tons of issues. How do other Magnums, 7810's, 78/7920's/30's 8X20's compare? Thanks, just want to get as much information as I can about both brands. Dealer support is about equal for both also.
