WC Wisconsin | We have a Krone 890 XC and have had issues this fall and last when trying to bale dry cornstalks. Stalks are chopped with a batwing and raked with a rotary. The bales come out fine for a period of time until we get some build up in the flake chamber - then we get bales that are terribly lopsided and after that downright abortions coming out the back of the baler. Stop, clean out the entire chamber, and go again. Best thing we have come up with is to raise the pickup off the ground slightly to still grab most of the windrow but not touch the dirt. Maybe too much dirt coming in? Maybe stalks on the bottom are too wet? The 200 bales we did this year were excellent dry bedding. Just wondering if anyone has similar experiences. Other than this the baler has been great. | |
