We worked hard to get it in place, it took years.  No one quite foresaw $8 corn and $10,000 farmland when the formula was created but even then, it's been more fair than the taxation friends pay in other states.

I was county FB vice president and it was a monumental task and a monumental win.  Every county worked very hard for this.

Our county needs the money for bridges, they are in bad shape.

It just comes at a really poor time, wouldn't be near as hard to swallow 3 years ago.
