25/bale to rake and bale? That seems high to me, much more than I pay anyways.

Definitely use net wrap, it's a PIA in the winter when it freezes BUT it's less of a PIA than pulling out frozen twine in my opinion.

Stalks are hard on stuff, if I were you I would shop around a little. Having the right equipment and expertise in making corn stalk bales makes the process go much more smoothly which is why I hire it done. And here anyways, there's lots of guys that will do it for much less than I would be willing to do it for myself.
