"Here" we don't do anything different when combining (no chopper, tho). Rake with V-rake, and bale.
Usually wait a day after combining (because we're combining that day), but many times we've baled behind the combine.
Twine works fine, they don't freeze down for a while , but will in a winter like last year. Best to get them close to
where you want them before that.
