Fight it as well on our 9770, have kept it to an acceptable level. We have CM concaves and disrupters. It seems this year in the wetter varieties we have very soft cobs that split easy. In our 25% corn we found running the concave extra wide cleaned it up. Talking cobs that should run about and 29 concave clearance and running at 36. The minute we get into to 20-22% corn we are able to run them where one would normally think they should be ran. Seemed to work here. Every hybrid seems to shell very different.

We also have the CM concaves with disrupters will be second yr with them. Huge difference with our rotor loss, but we had a tough time with split cobs, cob chips in sample. We found we were opening our concaves too much. The cobs were tumbling between rotor and concaves. Take a metric box end wrench & slip a cob into it then take that # and add 1 and set your concaves. Leveling them or re-zeroing them is a good thing to do as well. Now if we can only reduce the fines!! Have half of our feed accelerator flights removed thinking of buying a slowdown kit for the accelerator, $1200 best deal I can find. Any ideas would help.
