angus based cow herd I want a real bull with well made front shoulders spit out 90 lbers all day. but If I'm going to winter 1300-1400 lb cows i have to make up the difference some where. size of calf should be proportionate to frame size. I like 6 - 7 % of cow weight puts us at 85 - 95 likewise putting 1000 lb cows in the 65 lb mark.
