neiowa - 10/19/2014 17:57 Won't hurt a thing. Put 4000 gpa of finishing manure on by hose quite regularl. Like to get 3500 gpa on bit it is easier for the hose guys to put 4k on. This year with prices we will pry cut the rate back a little and try and cover more acres

It won't hurt a thing other than his checkbook when he has to buy fertilizer for the acres that he didn't get covered with manure.

Would you be upset if the elevator over applied fertilizer by 20% and billed you accordingly?      I wouldn't be happy and I wouldn't want to pay for the over application.

Honestly in a situation like this the manure pumper shouldn't be paid for the gallons that didn't go where they were supposed to.

I'm thinking before he refuses to pay the applicator for the overages that he should go and talk to him. They applied the other field within acceptable limits, so why was this field so different? There may be a good reason for it, or there may be a breakdown in communication.
