Your on the right track of mind but there is too many variables to make it that simple.
1. Can you get the Corn off every year in time to get wheat in ?
2. Will a custom operator get there in time ?
3 . When corn went to $7 distillers went to $255 a ton .
4. When theres a drought there usually not much fodder.
5 . A drylott works best with sandy soils and at least some pasture . I would suggest at least 60 acres for them 120 cows to spread your disease risk
6.if you have sandy soils your crop ground needs more water to be successful.
7.if you don't have sandy soils for your drylott you have MUD, and disease problems.
8.you will be very surprised how much forage a cow calf pair eat in a day on a drylott
9.when you feed lots of forage you have lots of msnure to haul .and where do you put that manure in the off seasons.
10.I'm not saying it won't work but until you try it , you won't discover these issues.

I would suggest to have double the ground or half the cows and rotate the cows more often to spread your disease , mud ,& manure.
