Subject: Cut my soybean population plot today. (results)

Southwest Iowa
Well today we got started cutting beans and did my population plot first.
Beans were Renze 3382RR which after they switched to Prarie Brand is now called a 3342
They were planted 5-6-14 in 15" rows with a Kinze planter about 1 1/4 inches deep into good moisture.
Sprayed with RUP and Prefix when they were about 3 inches tall and then again later on with just roundup.
Tillage done was one pass with soil finisher through the old stalks.
Only had a straight blend of 8-40-60 NPK applied.

Here are the results

Planted Population Yield Moisture
80,928 71.83 12.0
98,521 70.71 13.0
119,263 68.21 12.4
128,357 67.45 12.5
138,089 70.48 12.9
155,509 64.64 13.3
168,371 67.91 13.5
180,338 63.17 14.1

Very pleased with how they turned out. 70bu. beans for this country is VERY rare. If we hit 40-50 is a darn good yield.
We then moved on to a 18 acre ridge that is planted to this same variety and they are doing 70ish too. I couldn't be happier. I cant wait to get into more of them after this rain subsides.
If you have any questions feel free to ask
