the only reason to plant more than you need is in case of a stand reducing weather event which we get occasionally. I will keep mine at 150 in 15" rows.
I was going to say the same. A little bit higher stand count can be the difference between replanting or leaving a 75k stand after a hail storm. That said, I plant beans at 135,000.
