We are, and have my whole life, preplanted NH3 and it works great. With our cooler springs, it takes a while for the nh3 to change to nitrate. Also you can get nh3 for $600 ish a ton, so it's about $60/a for your N. It makes planting hectic, but $60 for nh3 verse $90/a for 28% adds up too.
Can i get away from sidedressing corn?
