I've got 30 inch rows. For years we went with the rows as we didn't have autosteer on the combine and it was easier for the cart to follow next to the combine by following rows. We've since added auto steer and that is no longer an issue. I can't tell if there is more shatter going at an angle verses in line with the rows. Some fields lay better to follow a certain path. Around here about half follow the row, half go at an angle.


The cutter bar has less stress on It when cutting at an angle. This is when farming on beds
