My (2) brothers and I are young farmers. I honestly lost track over the past 5 years (that's how long we've been farming on our own), how many times we've been told no by landlords when we have tried to rent their ground. I've been hung up on more times than I care to recall.
We finally got our first long term lease the other day, and we paid for it.
The mega farmer of the area spoils a lot of opportunities for the young farmer trying to get a start. | |
