Subject: Which software would be best for me?

I am looking at purchasing a software package, but would like some advice. I have lightly researched SST, Mapshots, Farmworks and SMS and all seem viable. I have a PF3000 monitor for yield mapping. I would like to purchase both a mobile software and a desktop for recordkeeping/analysis. I am thinking I will get an ipaq or a toughbook laptop for site verification, scouting, soil sampling, etc. I would like to keep all field records and operations for each field throughout the year, and then be able to see how different hybrids, etc. yielded. I would also like to keep basic financial records, but not to the extent of having to enter each check into the program. This way I could get a ball park idea of how profitable each field was. We currently use Quickbooks for our overall fincancial record keeping, and that works great for now.

Cost is not necessarily an issue, I am looking for value.

Thanks for any thoughts or opinions!

TIA-Bill
