Subject: RE: plugging tailings elevator

Mid MO
Whats your tailings sample look like? Full of grain with little fodder or full of fodder with little grain or 50-50 Mix? I would crank the fan all the way up. In my experience you can't blow good test weight corn or beans out of these machines. I set a 670 today with the exact same head and corn as you. Ended up at 380 rotor 26 concave 1350 fan 19 top sieve 13 lower sieve running 4mph. Hp will be the limiting factor not capacity on that high moisture. The looser and slower you run the concave and rotor the less hp it takes to run. Also run in 4wd lo if you have 4wd. You will be able to use more hp threshing rather than pullling the combine that way.
