SE SD | Two possible issues I can think of:
1. Your current system most likely has integrated graphics. Most name brand computers do. You'll need to make sure your computer has a PCI express x16 slot to support a modern video card.
2. Most pre-built computers have an internal power supply that is adequate enough to power the "stock" computer. It may or may not have enough power for an additional video card. You'll want to check the specs on whatever card you're interested in to make sure you have enough power to run it.
With multiple monitors and most likely onboard video I would agree this is probably your bottleneck. And it shouldn't be difficult to install the card itself. Just stick the card into the slot and hook up the power wire. If you swapped a HD you'll be able to do this, too.
