Subject: RE: storing carrots

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
What is your secret to raising carrots if your a first timer? My wife tries them every year and I'd estimate 9 out of 10 years they don't grow worth a hoot. But she still tries :-).

Seems like I've heard somewhere over the years sand is a good thing to store them in. But we never have to worry about that :-).

Edit: I got to thinking about it and I think I over estimated my wife's success in growing carrots. Next week we will be celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and I can honestly say I only remember one or two good carrot crops. So let's call it 1 out of 20 years for good measure,,,,,but,,,,she's determined :).
