Central NE | After the free seed over 38k it came to 158 a bag. Plan on pushing the 47k to 51k, if it stands till harverst. And if the 51k stands, I'll try some at 60k. Stine is saying 70k is possible on 12" rows, so 15" should help.
What gets me is that the ears are belt high to lower chest high. Walking through the field, I never get the feeling of being claustrophobic (I think that is the way it's spelt.) Can always see the sky. Was told it should be 6', but top of tassel is closer to 7'. |
