West Central Wisconsin | Mrs. JoBob here with two of my husband's favorites from the local FFA cookbook.
Citrus orange jello
1 small pkg. lemon jello
1 small pkg. orange jello
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges
1 (20 oz.) can lemon pie filling
Drain mandarins, reserving juice. Add water to juice to make 2 cups liquid and heat in sauce pan. Add lemon and orange jello whisking to dissolve. Remove from heat. Add lemon pie filling while still hot whisking to blend. Add mandarins, stir gently and pour into bowl or mold.
A very cool refreshing salad with intense flavor!
Cherry jello salad
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cherry jello
8 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup Pepsi or Coke
nuts, optional
Bring water and sugar to boil. Dissolve jello in sugar water. Add pie filling. Cool. Add rest of ingredients. Refrigerate.
The soda in this recipe adds quite a fizz to your tongue!
