Subject: RE: Water heater fixable?

NC Iowa
the freedom looks like a regular steel tank heater. the marathon is the plastic tank one. it comes in different sizes but i think the 70 gal in what the rec offered when i got one. they had a far better price than menards had. i think the marathon is the better heater and i would get that one if available. they may have a $5.00/mo service plan and i would opt out if it is allowed.

no way would i repair a 25 year old water heater. the tank is already on borrowed time.

edit: with the marathon, since it is not metal, it doesn't need that magnesium rod that can make well water smell bad.
