Napanee, Ontario | Brad I hear what you're saying... but if it were the board / traders driving this, wouldn't the board be ahead of the cash and not vice versa?
The whole way up, its been the cash pulling the board from what i've seen. Ie.. real bid in the barn for actual product rising higher - real bids from packers in cash fats moving up, and the board following those, albiet at a considerable distance back.
I think most here can at least agree that there is : shortage of cattle, more exports / more demand, and cheaper feed. Those factors should make for higher prices. Sure there might be spec based buying in the minds of guys in the barn, but it seems to me it is the barns driving this and not the board since the board is so far back. | |
