Subject: field iq servo valve problems

NW KS
I recently hooked my field iq up to my pull types sprayer. The was very erratic and would change the gallons per acre from 7 to 15. I had the rate set for 10 gallons per acre. I tried adjusting the valve responsiveness, but the tank was getting low. I refilled the sprayer with water and the valve wouldn't move at all. I have checked the valve out and I am sure something has burnt out on it. It was a micro-trak 12 volt servo valve. Valve was replaced in approximately the last 5 year. Would an improper setting burn it out or did it just quit working? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
