Pedee, Oregon | Local Ocean is the best food in Newport. It's on the east end of the waterfront. They should be getting albacore off the boats, however they are preparing it's delicious. The food at Rogue is pretty plain. I'm about 1 hr east of Newport on the east side of the coast range.
You can rent a dune buggy in Florence and cruise the dunes, take a jetboat ride up the Rogue river at Gold Beach. Redwoods start at Brookings. Between Brookings and the Cali border about 90% of the worlds easter lilies are produced, right along 101. | |
