Subject: Here's our work on the Double cropping acres..

Here's some of our work on the double cropping acres..

http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=450914&posts=6#M3657369

Looks like 2013 was the high water mark on d/c at 10% of 75.3 myn acres.. or 7.53 so THIS Year is NOT a record but.. still pretty large.. or that was "the plan" if guys followed through with it...  ??

Notice how double cropping acreage fell from 2008's 9% to 2010's 3% while Total cropped area ALSO fell by 10 myn acres..  From 248 myn acres to 238... this is something that I do not believe the bear's fully appreciate...  but that impact will probably not kick in for "awhile."

fwiw..

Golly I'm looking for the bean acreage chart... where is that one?

oh and here's your drought data link.. if your in the mood.. takes awhile to load.. things are better here btw.. (thanks for asking..

http://drought.unl.edu/Portals/2/Ranchplan%20Images/Presentations/1_9_2014/McManus.pdf  go to the back of the presentation.. "Brief History of Droughts"  and flip through to the page.. "Recent droughts are infants."  might want to have an adult beverage in your hand when you look though...  ??  page 45 and 46 are eye openers... fwiw.
