BUT, in this case, if the OP has a reliable GPS signal throughout his operation, and knows he can rely on GPS for speed, there is no reason to do a distance (Tire Radius) calibration. That calibration only affects the distance/speed calculated when the transmission speed sensor is used. If you're using ONLY GPS speed, doing a distance cal won't improve your accuracy at all. The cal is always recommended, so that your accuracy is still good in the event that you lose GPS and have to fall back to transmission speed, but it won't improve your accuracy while GPS speed is being used. | |
