NW Central Ohio | ...I think some lawn services will use a coring machine regularly to pull cores out of the soil...and then redistribute them on top of the soil. That loose dirt is what you need to level out the lumps. I think a couple planks tied together would redistribute the cores well enough if they have time to dry. I'm sure it isn't a quick process though...probably take 5-7 corings with the resulting pass of the planks. You probably should then overseed the lawn in the fall to help thicken it out. I've got one lawn I can't hardly keep in the seat of a zero-turn...I'm thinking maybe I should spend some time with either a coring machine or a slit seeder trying to get it leveled out some. | |
