WC IN
Farmers will cut fert and machinery and nearly everything the can. I wouldn't short Deere because they are so well managed, have some diversification and have been thruough these cycles before. For example Deere is currently off their highs a little but they are actually up 96 cents today at $88.60. Mosaic and potash corp.will surely suffer some but their stock price appears very resilient to this bear market in corn. The one I've been thinking of shorting is monsanto. First off their stock has performed poorly the last month. Second, I believe they have a lot of fat to cut and I believe they are in denial about corn acres for next year and therefore seed corn prices have to go down and monsanto will be the last to react...thereby losing market share to more agressive companies. Plus monsanto is not diversified at all...
